In January 1997, he joined CITIC Bank and served as deputy general manager of the business department of the head office of CITIC Bank (601998)(now Beijing Branch), general manager of the planning and finance department, general manager of the asset and liability department of CITIC Bank, secretary to the board of directors, company secretary, authorized representative, business director, deputy head of the preparatory team of Hong Kong branch and director of CITIC Baixin Bank Co., Ltd.

It is understood that Lu Wei was a senior executive of CITIC Bank before joining CITIC Trust.
