royalplayingcards| Natural gas prices rise ahead of EIA natural gas report
Gelonghui May 16| rise in natural gas pricesroyalplayingcards, because the U.S. EIA natural gas inventory growth is expected to be below average. Tradition Energy analyst Gary Cunningham said natural gas futures could gain momentum next winter, bringing January contract prices close to $4/million British heat. Supply is expected to decrease and demand will increase. Production appears to be falling, LNG terminals (and Asian buyer demand) are picking up, and La Niña looks stronger. Cunningham expects the weekly U.S. reserves report, due at 10:30 a.m. EDT, to increase by 72 billion cubic feet, less than expected.
